1982年3月宋丽萍女士由中国政府从中国人民大学选派赴日本留学，先后在日本、美国获得经济学、工商管理学硕士学位，1988年就职于日本野村证券公司，1991年任中国人民大学国际经济系讲师，并负责中国证券市场研究设计中心（原“联办”）的市场研究工作，是《证券市场周刊》的主要创办人之一，1992年参与筹建中国证券监督管理委员会，先后任市场监管部主任、发行监管部主任和机构监管部主任。在近二十年的证券市场工作中，宋丽萍女士参与并推动了中国证券市场的规划设计与历次重要改革，对中国证券市场发行、交易和监管体制的建设具有深刻认识和丰富经验。2002年3月至2008年2月，出任深圳证券交易所常务副总经理。2008年2月至今任深圳证券交易所总经理。

Professional Information

Ms. Song Liping has been President of Shen Zhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) since February 2008. She served as Executive Vice President of SZSE from March 2002 to February 2008. Ms. Song has extensive experience in the securities public offering, trading and regulation and their related legislature process in China. In the past twenty years, Ms. Song participated in and played a key role in designing and planning the securities market in China as well as many important reforms of the market. In 1992, she was on a team establishing the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), where she served as Directors at Departments of Market, Public Offering and Intermediary Supervision. In 1991, Ms. Song, as a lecturer, taught International Economics at the RENMIN University of China and was managing the market research department at the Stock Exchange Executive Council（SEEC）. She was also a co-founder of a professional journal, Securities Market Weekly. Ms. Song joined Nomura Securities in 1988. 

Ms. Song went to Japan for her college education on a government-sponsored program in 1982. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in economics and business administration from universities in Japan and the U.S..
