Shenzhen’s H1 GDP up 10.5%

The Shenzhen Bureau of Statistics unveiled on July 23 that Shenzhen’s GDP for the first half of 2008 is CNY353.29 billion, an increment of 10.5 percent year on year according to primary calculation.

DNEG Ping, director of the bureau said that Shenzhen’s economy is growing slower facing CNY’s appreciation, decreasing international demand and tightening money state. Foreign trade volume reached USD 139.18billion, increased 9.0 percent and fixed asset investment is CNY57.5 billion rising 6.9 percent from a year earlier. General budget revenue is CNY47.91 billion, mounted 41.3 percent, he announced. (Securities Times)
